Who is responsible for your data
Vaggelis Giannopoulos, trading as Ergalos, is the data controller for ergalos.com. Ergalos is a sole practice, not a company: one person is responsible for every decision described on this page.
Address: Greece. Email: [email protected].
What we collect, and where it comes from
The site itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures traffic without cookies and without logging query strings.
When you arrive from a campaign, the page you land on can carry parameters such as utm_source, utm_campaign or a click id like gclid or fbclid. Your browser keeps those, together with the first page you viewed and the hostname of the site that referred you, in that browser tab's own storage (sessionStorage): it never leaves your device on its own, and it is cleared the moment you close the tab.
If you book a call, that stored information is attached to the booking link, and Cal.com collects your name, email address, the time you choose and any notes you add; Cal.com verifies your email with a one-time code before the booking is confirmed.
Cal.com then sends us a copy of the booking: your name, email, start time, the language the booking page was in, the page the booking button was clicked on, any campaign parameters and click id, the landing page, the referring site's hostname, and the Cal.com booking id. We store that copy in a Cloudflare D1 database.
If you email [email protected] instead, that message reaches us at an email provider's mailbox.
Why we process it, and on what legal basis
Arranging and holding the call you asked for, and replying to you: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Your name and email are required to book a call: giving them is voluntary, but without them we cannot arrange it.
Measuring which campaigns lead to booked calls, and keeping a record of who booked and when: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in knowing which advertising works. You can object to this at any time; see "Your rights" below.
None of this data is used for automated decision-making or profiling, it is not sold, and it is not shared with advertising platforms.
Who receives it
Cal.com, Inc. (booking and email verification), Cloudflare, Inc. (analytics, the database that stores your booking record, and, as the host and CDN for this site, the IP address and request data of every visit, on the same Article 6(1)(f) basis: security and delivering the page you asked for), our email provider (if you write to [email protected] instead of booking), and, for the call itself, whichever video service the booking invitation names.
Transfers outside the EU
Cal.com and Cloudflare are both United States companies. Where your data is transferred to the US, that transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on Standard Contractual Clauses, whichever applies to that provider. Your booking record itself is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database located in the EU (Eastern Europe region). Write to [email protected] for a copy of the safeguard that applies to a given transfer, or for a link to that provider's own published version of it.
How long we keep it
Lead records are kept for 24 months after the booking was made, then deleted, unless a contract follows, in which case they are kept for as long as tax law requires. Any backup copy of the database follows the same 24-month limit.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, ask for it in a portable format, and, where processing relies on consent, withdraw that consent. Write to [email protected].
You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα), Kifisias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies. It uses two sessionStorage entries, held only in your tab and only until you close it: one holding the campaign parameters and click id described above, the other holding the first page you viewed and the referring site's hostname. Neither is read by anyone but your own browser, unless you click a booking link, at which point their contents ride along to Cal.com and from there to us, as described above.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or why changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated.
